Professor Liaukonyte's research interests lie in the areas of applied microeconomics, quantitative marketing modeling, empirical demand estimation and, more specifically, empirical analysis of advertising strategies. In her research, Dr. Liaukonyte applies economic concepts and game theoretic models to real-world marketing questions in order to gain insights into advertising effectiveness. Her current research projects analyze the effects of comparative advertising, where a brand's advertisements explicitly mention its competitor(s), and the interrelatedness of competitors' demands stemming from such advertising strategies.
