Cynthia Mathys is currently a research support specialist at Cornell University. She holds an M.P.S. in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell and a B.S. in Environmental Policy & Behavior from the University of Michigan. Her Masters thesis at Cornell focused on "pro-poor" biodiesel production in India. For the four years prior to coming to Cornell Cynthia was the Director of an organic agriculture company based in New Delhi, India, and in this capacity she oversaw agricultural projects in both India and Nepal. Cynthia has also worked in South Africa with Market Matters Inc., an NGO that builds capacity among African agribusiness entrepreneurs.
