Biography

Dan Welch is the Business and Succession Planning Coordinator with the NY FarmNet Program and an Extension Associate in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. He works with farm families to develop business and farm transfer plans that meet the family’s goals and are financially sound. Additionally, he provides workshops and seminars to extension educators, farmers, and agricultural professionals on the topics of business planning, farm succession planning, farm family communications, and farm managment. Dan is a Class 15 Fellow of Empire State Food and Agricultural Leadership Institute (LEAD NY). He holds a Master of Science in Education in Vocational Education from SUNY Oswego, and Bachelor of Technology in Agribusiness Management from SUNY Cobles
